RIS is a standardized tag format developed by Research Information Systems, Incorporated to enable citation programs to exchange data.
RIS is the most common format which is supported by a number of citation and reference managers (Software). This export option will generate a file that needs to be imported into EndNote. In most databases, there is an Export option with the various file format of the save option. Most citations needed to add to the EndNote will be imported from online resources or a literature database.
